Temporary Employee Rights- What Hardworking Temporary Employees Are Entitled To

Every employee in the organization is entitled to some rights and benefits. These benefits are offered keeping in mind certain criteria. The criteria consist of whether the employee is temporary or permanent, which post is he or she upon, etc. Various benefits are given to temporary and permanent employees to retain them for longer period of time and for their safety and security. Before understanding temporary employee rights let us understand who are temporary employees?

Who falls under the category of temporary employees?

* Are you employed by a temporary job agency? And are you in a temporary job? Are you supposed to report to a supervisor of the same company or the supervisor of the temporary job agency? If the answer is Yes, then you are a temporary employee of the organization in which you are working.

* If your work does not involve a high level of expertise, knowledge and skill, then you are a temporary employee.

* If the method of payment depends on the hours you work daily, weekly or monthly rather than completion of the entire project then you are a temporary employee.

* If different benefits received by you and others working at the same level, then too you are a temporary employee.

* You can be a temporary employee if you are employed not in your own business.

As per the employee labor law, part-time employees are entitled to receive employee benefits like

* Sick leave, maternity leave, etc.
* Pension schemes,
* Health insurance,
* Discounts to staff,
* Mortgages are available at subsidized rates,
* Public holidays,
* Shares and profit sharing option schemes,
* Training.

Employees, whether permanent or temporary, should see to it that they are given all the benefits and necessary employee compensation as promised by the organization. At times it happens that what an organization commits to their employees they fail to deliver it. If the employees do not get their temporary employees rights and benefits then they should ask for it from the organization. The part-time employment offers benefits to the companies. Some of them are:

* Reduced stress and absenteeism.
* Reduced unemployment problems.
* Manages the excessive workloads.
* Higher productivity as the staff is happy.

When temporary employees offer you with so many benefits then it is your moral duty to open up different schemes in favor of these employees. If the employee knows that they are being compensated adequately, they will work with more zeal and enthusiasm.

Such temporary employee rights are the rights exclusively laid down for the temporary employees. When these employees work whole heartedly and give their best then it becomes the organizations duty to look after their comfort and benefits, which they are entitled to.
